Sfi – Swedish for immigrants
At our school you study to learn Swedish.
Welcome to our language school.
We follow the national curriculum and focus is on reading, writing, speaking and understanding spoken Swedish. We want to give our students an insight into the Swedish society and learn about work in Sweden.
This we do for example by conversation classes, lectures and study visits. We also have different courses to choose between depending on interest, background, profession and future goals.
At our language school students plan their studies together with a mentor. Previous education and employments are taken into account and for us it is important that students choose at what speed to study and how. There is a choice of courses and subjects on top of our basic language classes, for example: How to apply for work in Sweden, computer courses, work practice and Swedish aimed at different professions.
Our study hall is open daily and as a student you have access to our computers. Mentors are available and they can help you with your studies, work practice, and how to apply for further studies.
At our language school:
- students learn how to read, write, speak and understand spoken Swedish
- students learn about living and working in Sweden
- students prepare for an employment or further studies
